Tahu Tempe with Coconut Milk Gravy Recipe

  • 1 board tempeh, cut to taste 
  • 4 pieces tahu (beancurd), cut into 2 parts 
  • 65 ml thick coconut milk 
  • 3 cloves garlic 
  • 5 spring onions 
  • 2 candlenuts (kemirie), toasted 
  • 1/2 tsp coriander 
  • salt and sugar to taste
How to make:
  • fried beancurd and tempeh until half-cooked 
  • Grinding all ingredients with mortar or blender
  •  heat a little oil, put seasoning, stir-fry until fragrant 
  • add the beancurd and tempeh, stirring until evenly 
  • Add the coconut milk, add water to make it less viscous
  •  add salt and sugar to taste 
  • wait until the coconut milk broth is absorbed and ASAT (reduced)
Ready to be served with warm rice and a sprinkling of fried onions.
